The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club – For the Love of Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce is an elite car brand and one that is an integral part of British culture. The cars ooze class and comfort. They are fast, reliable, and bring a sense of shared identity of their owners. It comes as no surprise that it has so many fans around the globe and dedicated fan clubs. The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club is probably the best-known among those.

A Little Background

The members’ base of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club includes owners and admirers of both the Rolls-Royce and Bentley Cars. It is an international association with members from 52 countries at present. The eleven original members gathered in the living room of club founder Edward Harris in Oxfordshire in 1957. In the fifty-plus years since the foundation of the club, its members have grown to over 10 000.

What Does the Club Do?

The RREC involves itself with many activities related to the Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars. It has workshops, archives, and engine rooms where owners and enthusiasts can learn about the construction of these cars. They educate members about car maintenance and organise a variety of events. The biggest among these is the RREC Annual Rally in the East Midlands.

What’s more, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars have officially recognised the club and provided them with build records of all historic Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars. That means the club holds the biggest collection of such historic data outside the main company.

Registers

Each club register deals with a particular model of historic Rolls-Royce or Bentley. They specialise in the preservation, restoration and finding of these cars. The current register list includes:

  • 20hp
  • 25hp
  • Continental GT
  • Derby Bentley
  • Derby Phantom
  • Goodwood R-R
  • Post war Sixes
  • Silver Cloud
  • Silver Ghost
  • Silver Shadow
  • SZ

If you happen to own such a car, you should seriously consider joining the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club. For one, you will have the opportunity to receive invaluable help in keeping up your treasure. You will have the chance to meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for classic vehicles as well. The goal of any such club is to promote good-spirited cooperation between people who all love the same thing.
